The Roanoke College Men's and Women's Soccer Staff will offer the following programs July 15-18 of the Roanoke Soccer School. The College Prep Camp is for high school aged soccer players with the desire to compete at the next level at a camp that simulates the college experience. The camp will offer daily sessions from coaches of local D I and D III colleges. The Junior Advanced Academy is for the competitive player ages 10-14 looking to continue to develop. The Academy will focus on introducing and polishing skills and decision making while advancing speed of play. The schedule will be similar for both groups. Morning sessions will be designed to push each player technically and tactically in pressure situations. The second session will feature small sided games focusing on daily topics. Afternoon seminars will feature information on the College Admissions Process, Strength & Conditioning, and Nutrition. The last session will feature full sided games. Proper decision making will be emphasized in all sessions.

The Instructional Day Academy July 16-19 offers three different programs. Little Strikers for 4 & 5 year olds, Half and Full Day Options for the beginning soccer player ages 4-14. The camp will provide the basic skills needed for the camper and will develop these skills into the team setting. The academy will teach fundamental skills by using fun games and drills to keep the kids motivated and enjoying the game. At the conclusion of the camp, the players will better know technical aspects of the game and the basics of positional play.
